How quickly do FrontlinePlus kill Flea parasites? Research data shows that it will kill fleas within 12 hours of contact with your treated pet. Ticks will die within 48 hours of contact with your treated pet. How does FrontlinePlus spread over a pet’s body? How long does this take? It spread over the pet’s body by a process called trans-location. When applied, these products are gradually dispersed by the pet’s natural oils, collecting in the oil glands in the skin. It is then “wicked” onto the hair over the next 30 days. The trans-location process can take up to 24 hours to complete. Do fleas and ticks have to bite my pet for FrontlinePlus to work?
